This past weekend was a busy but special weekend. Jack celebrated his First Communion on Saturday after 9 months of preparation. I cannot believe he is old enough to partake in the Eucharist -- it seems like just yesterday he was Sam's age! Many family members were there, and his cousin Chloe also had her First Communion. Afterwards, we celebrated this and Mother's Day at Dennis's parents' house with a big dinner and cake for the occasion.

On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day with a nice brunch with my sister, Judith, and her family. There are no pictures because we wanted it to be casual. When I say casual, I mean no make-up and jeans and a t-shirt that says "Wild Woman" (thanks, Johnna!!!). We had a great morning, complete with mimosas.
In the afternoon, I took Rachael and Avery to see the Hannah Montana movie (Sam tagged along, too) and we really enjoyed the movie. I even downloaded some of the music -- The Climb is really a great song, along with a few others. When we got home, Dennis had the yard mowed, and we grilled steaks for dinner. Dennis and the kids gave me a Pandora bracelet, which I am so excited to add to over time. It was a wonderful weekend!
